Philosophy and Approach

Navigating life’s transitions can be challenging. Balancing the quest for personal identity with societal expectations and coping with career or relationship stress may put a significant strain on one's life. I aspire to guide you through personal challenges, help you ease emotional burdens, and empower you to achieve a healthier mind.

My therapeutic approach integrates the cognitive and creative realms, fostering a holistic and innovative path towards healing and self-discovery. My goal is to have you feel like my partner throughout our work together and an important part of your own recovery. I aim to create a genuine space where we can dive deeper to understand your thinking processes, motivations, and behaviors. I understand how vital the client-clinician relationship is and rather than relying on a single set of treatment strategies, I believe it is important to offer a customized approach to each client. Therapy with me pulls from a variety of models, including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

My professional background includes addressing mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, and generational trauma. I have worked with court-mandated clients, sexual offenders, victims of trauma, and individuals with a history of domestic violence. Additionally, I have facilitated co-parenting and anger management group therapy sessions.

Cultural considerations are a vital part of treatment and I am passionate about reducing the stigmas surrounding mental health, particularly in immigrant and marginalized communities. Being an Indian woman, an active member of the AAPI community, and a daughter of immigrants, I strive to break down barriers and create an inclusive environment for my clients.
